Take-Two Just Signed a New Long-Term Xbox Deal - But It Won't Change Anything About GTA 6

★★★☆☆By Vice City Hub

Big headline, small story. Lawyers renewed a contract, and somehow the internet decided this meant something about GTA6 and Xbox.

Take-Two Interactive and Microsoft signed a new long-term Xbox Publisher License Agreement, effective September 17, 2026, covering the development, publishing, marketing, and sale of Xbox-compatible products across all Xbox devices, according to multiple outlets including GTA BOOM. The agreement replaces all of Take-Two's prior Xbox publishing arrangements and includes standard terms around revenue sharing and content approval, but reporting has been consistent that the deal is routine contract housekeeping rather than anything specific to Grand Theft Auto VI, which remains on track for a multiplatform release on both PS5 and Xbox Series X/S on November 19, 2026.
